Use backspace to go back in Firefox
Authored by: JonB on Jan 16, '05 07:46:31PM

I always used command and square bracket keys ('[' and ']') as shortcuts to back and forward in Mac IE (these are indicated as shortcuts in the 'Go' menu). I've recently switched to Firefox :) and these shortcuts still work. I had no ideas there were other different 'standard' shortcuts to the same function. This probably explains why there are no shortcuts to back and forward indicated in Firefox's 'Go' menu, so as not to confuse anyone(?!). I find it odd that backspace is a standard shortcut for 'back', as that surely means you can't use it to go back when using web form elements or the URL bar? And what is the corresponding shortcut for 'forward'?
