Burn DivX/AVI movies to CD

The main hint is really not useful as it would appear for the following reason:
is a fact that StandAlone DivX players do not really appreciate UDF filesystem and have performance issues when dealing with UDF discs.
The following should be used as guidance rules for the best way to BURN a CD or DVD with divx on it:
- data disk
- No multisession
- Iso level 1
- Mode 1
- ISO 9660
- Finalizel CD
- Disk at once
- low speed

The above are useful infos to configure your fav burning app /either on Mac or PC)
I just want to add that on the pc if u use Padus DiscJuggler u can choose to burn discs as UDF/ISO without problems since the SA would prefer the iso filesystem.

Just an ending note, the SA player usually don't perform well with files (avi) larger than 2Gb, maybe because most of the tine u are obliged to burn in udf for such dimensions, so if u have movies splitted in 2 or more chuncks, well leave them in this way.

Burn DivX/AVI movies to CD
Authored by: ilya on Sep 04, '05 03:07:31AM

Hi,

I've followed ther instructions with the ISO setting, but my DivX-capable DVD player reports "resolution not supported". The AVI movie I have is 530Mb, 800 x 474, encoded with 3ivX D4 4.5.1 codec.

I'd appreciate any help on the matter.

Thanks,
Ilya Schofield
