This hint got me thinking about a pet peeve of mine with the international settings in OSX. Any fellow englishman/woman may have noticed that whatever setting you enter into the International system preference pane the date in the menu bar still appears the american way (backwards - mm/dd/yyyy - which is just plain wacky for us)

This hint was published here before. Read the thread to know how you can avoid messing up with system resources: copy the -.menu item to your user space, edit it and drag it to your menu bar.
Now, I don't use PPP menu because I have Airport with cable connection, the Open Internet Connect menu is there in the Airport menu for the rare times I travel with my TiPB. But this hint tells me how to open something else than Date & Time from the clock menu, e.g. an alarm clock app... |
