Use PowerPoint to make collages for iMovie
Authored by: Anonymous on Jan 03, '05 12:29:43PM

I use Keynote to create DV file to import in iMovie.
Just create a blank template with the following size: 768 x 576 pixels

You can create picture in picture effects, transparency, play with Keynote effects etc...
Then you export in QT format, change the settings to a DV format so iMovie can import it and you're done !
Who said you needed an expensive video editing program to do cool stuff?

Use PowerPoint to make collages for iMovie

I tried this today because I liked so many Keynote features yet I liked PowerPoint because I could rehearse timings and insert narration at various points. My only problem was that when I played back my presentation the iMovie clips (formerly Keynote clips) were not as sharp. Do you know what I'm doing wrong? I used the highest quality. They work fine but the quality just isn't as good as the PP slides. Thanks in advance. Oh, I have QT 7 Pro, iMovie 4 and Keynote 2.
