Use Command-S to create Stuffit archives

You can set a keyboard shortcut for Ziping files.
Just go to Keyboard/Mouse prefs and add a keyboard shortcut for "Create Archive" in the Finder app. One has to logout in order for changes to take effect

That's good to know, thanks for the tip. I personally use Stuffit because I have noticed that zip files created using Panther's "create archive" feature contains invisible files that become visible when unzipped on a PC. It usually confuses my clients.

Tried it. Won't work. I'm guessing it's because the menu item is different if you select more than one file: "Create archive of 3 items", or "Create archive of 113 items", for example.
