you could just install Diskwarrior on to other computer and target mode to it..Diskwarrior doesn't have to be always be booted from disk..

This is the way I've been doing it for years. OS X CDs boot much too slow....

Disk Warrior can be used over Ethernet, as well. No need to restart in Target Disk mode if the the disk can be mounted on your network.

That won't work. DiskWarrior needs access to the partition itself, not just the file system. Through FireWire target disk mo[[de, DiskWarrior has direct access to the disk. Mountin g over Ethernet just gives high-level file system access.
