Standalone Player

There is a great little standalone app called "Quicker Player" that has a speed control. Can't seem to find a link but it's by "Jarir Maani". Just fire it up, drop a movie on the window and adjust to whatever speed you want from extremely slow to very fast.

Quickern Player help
Authored by: jumatkin on Jan 24, '05 12:33:12AM

I am having problems getting QuickerPlayer to work. I drop a mp3 into the screen and all of a sudden it seizes up and won't run; it gets small and shrinks and then I have to shut it down. I can run mp3 in iTunes and Quick Time, but neither one of them has the accelerated playback function. I found another type of software (shareware) called Mercury Hg3 from anomaly industries with this feature, but it also no longer works. Both of these applications worked initially, but now they do not. Can you help me out here, or direct me to someone who can? I really need to be able to listen to lectures (I'm in medical school) at an accelerated playback, and these are the only 2 applications I know of.
