Don't forget about cmd+shift+return
Authored by: allanBook on Oct 06, '04 02:56:31PM

Using command+shift+return from the location bar or google field results in the page opening in the background under a new tab (assuming tab-browsing is enabled).

I often use this to open up pages for reading later, since I don't want to move from the current tab just yet.

I much prefer command+return and command+shift+return over having to pick up my hand to move the cursor to the location of search fields and clicking/highlighting and then moving to/creating a new tab and then pressing return.

Nice one, thanks guys! Why I had never thought to try command/shift-enter is beyond me, but it works a treat!

I noticed that if you have "Select new tabs as they are created" UNchecked, the actions are reversed: Command+Enter pops the tab under, Command+Shift+Enter pops it in front.
