Use Airport Express as ethernet to wireless bridge
Authored by: jbouklas on Oct 01, '04 12:23:25PM

I bought an Airport Extreme and Airport Express. The Extreme is used to share the Internet connection, and the Express is for bridging the connection to an ethernet port on my old G4, as it's very hard to find the original airport card for under $120. I couldn't get it to act like a straight bridge until I used the Wireless Distribution System feature. Once I did that, it bridges my ethernet connection and allows the Extreme to assign IP addresses. It also extends my wireless coverage seamlessly throughout my entire house, which is awesome. It was a bit pricey (about $300 for the setup), but well worth it.
