Mmmmm, this is excellent news for unix programmers on OS X. Now if only the person who compiled Mesa for darwin could figure out how to use those altivec hooks, us unix graphics programmers on OS X could show up all those linux boxes. Optimize, optimize!!

Hey, this is damn cool. But I was wondering whether anyone's got info on comparative benchmarking with Windows machines. I'm forced (really really against my will) to do my numerical computing on multi-processor Intel machines. I'd love to have some solid benchmarks to show to my faculty advisor that indicate that I could run codes faster with a dual-G4.
