Speed deletion of iiTunes duplicates while importing
FYI: This article has an AppleScript that you can fire automatically when a CD is inserted. It will check if the tracks on the CD are already in your iTunes library and un-check them.
Speed deletion of iiTunes duplicates while importing
Why do you want to delete while importing? I do everything in one sound quality (the way I like it) and I make sure that I un-check everything already imported. Simple as that.

Well, in a perfect world, you wouldn't have to import things a second time. But since I started converting my CDs a long time ago, when MP3 encoders weren't as good as they are now, some of my songs have a terrible quality. Even worse, some are simply buggy: they were encoded with VBR, but obviously wrong, since iTunes and iPod don't see that: the time is wrong, the song just stops in the middle. |
