Change has come to macosxhints.com...

A couple of example of sites that don't have tastefully placed ads are Mac OS Rumors, (whats the point of having a meta refresh? it causes me to lose my palce when reading it!) and The Mac Night Owl (having to page down twice just to get to the content is ridiculous!)

some sites that have tasteful ad placement include slashdot, macslash, and Apple Insider.

Interestingly, The Register, while somewhat heavy on the ads, has a few pages and articles that have a separate color scheme, that goes with the overall sponsor of that page.

Finally, on the vomit inducing front, C|Net's entire site looks like one big banner ad. (did i mention i hate C|Net?) Please avoid that route!
