A vulnerability with the screensaver password lock
Authored by: mag3966 on Sep 10, '04 12:22:55AM

I believe that there is a vulnerability, but I am not quite sure it is exactly along the same lines as being represented. I am running the latest version of OSX on a G4 desktop. If I go to the login screen while fast user switching, I can type in a password for my account which is similar to my actual password, but changed by a few letters or numbers, and I am able to access my account. For example, if my actual password was "longest345" and I type "longest335", the system will let me in. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Thanks.
