What about an 1015 and sharing?
Authored by: oculos on Sep 07, '04 05:52:15PM

I wonder if an HP Laserjet 1015, which has PCL, can be shared in a cross-platform network. I've just bought one, and want to connect it to a Windows and share it there, so I can print it from my Mac.

I also wonder if this printer can be shared with those printer servers that are available out there, and, if so, I wonder if my Mac will be able to see the printer and use it.

Is PCL a real plus? Does it make it more likely that the printer can be shared in a cross-platform network? The PCL (and having both USB and parallel ports) is the only difference (despite speed and resolution) between the 1010, 1012 and the 1015.
