AcidSearch - Enhanced Google search bar in Safari

Google searches the web. Other search engines search databases and other such things. Also other engines are more specific.

On the PC side there is Google toolbar which has a great example of other search engines. You can search google, or with an additional click you can switch to a 411 directory, Froogle, GoogleNews, dictionary.com, or stock quotes.

The idea is not to put on sites like AltaVista or Yahoo or MSN (unless you want to), but to put on more specific search engines that change the context of your search.

I use froogle quite a bit but on my Mac I have to go to froogle.com, whereas with this I can search froogle direct from my search box.

Try it, I'm confident you'll find it useful if you give it a try and think about the possibilities.
