Connect to a Microsoft ISA server
we have an isa server as well.. but i am not sure where i would enter the info into.. the proxy tab has many different proxy types.. also what port do you use.. could you elaborate please on what was filled out where? this would be very helpful for my own work environment as well!
Connect to a Microsoft ISA server
In the Proxy tab (in Network settings)
1. I ticked all the proxy servers. The "Web Proxy Server" would need to be ticked if you wanted to use Safari, the "Secure Web Proxy Server" should be ticked to visit secure websites (banking). I think it is also needed for the iTunes Music Store and other Mac apps. Anyway, I ticked them all! 2. For each proxy server (eg FTP Proxy Server) I gave the name of the Microsoft ISA server at work (ask your IT department for this). It is either a name or an IP address. 3. Next to this name there is a smaller box to put the port number. Again your IT department should have this, but in my case it was port 8080 3. Click proxy server requires password 4. In the Account field, put your username@domain.com (e.g. pjhk@company.net). N.B. You could also try domain\username (note forward slash) but this did not work for me! 5. In the Password field put your password. Good luck. |
