Recover from a runaway netstat process
Authored by: jiclark on Aug 23, '04 02:20:54PM

I doubt Menu Meters is causiing it, as I don't use that utility and I've been experiencing the problem for some time. The non-Terminal way to kill netstat is to use Activity Monitor, choose All Processes from the popup, click on the %CPU column heading to force netstat to the top of the list, then just select netstat and hit the Quit Process button at the top of the window. You'll be prompted for your admin password to complete the job.

Good luck,
John
