Make Real video streams play in Safari browser windows
Things are a bit different with RealPlayer Version "10.0.0 (v188)" (version taken from the "About RealPlayer" menu item; the disk image file is named "RealPlayer10Beta.dmg"). There are no longer files called "RealPlayer Plugin.xpt" and "pncrt.Shlb", in "RealPlayer.app/Contents/MacOS". Just the file "RealPlayer Plugin" is is left along together with new files I can't assign to any task. The trick now is to start RealPlayer as Administrator for the first time. A dialog asks you for finishing the players configuration. It does the same thing if started by a normal user, but without an error message no plugin support will be configured this way.
After a successful configuration by RealPlayer a kind of alias is placed in "/Library/Internet Plug-Ins": It obviously points to "/Applications/RealPlayer.app/Contents/MacOS/RealPlayer Plugin" but it is not a symbolic link and I can not resolve it in the finder (was is it?). By the way, even copying "RealPlayer Plugin" to "Internet Plug-ins" did not work on my machine.

Further to this, not only did I have to start Realplayer as administrator to complete the installation process, but then I had to junk my ~/Library/Internet Plugins folder (i.e. _not_ /Library/Internet Plugins) and restart Safari - then the RP plugin showed up in the list under "Safari Help" and everything seems peachy...

I made an alias of the following files from the "/Applications/RealPlayer.app/Contents/" folder and placed them in the "Internet Plug-Ins" folder:
