Relocate the Applications folder via NetInfo
Authored by: Brian Ferris on Jul 26, '04 08:50:06PM

I'm a naive new user and couldn't fin NetInfoManager on my computer. I partitioned a 40gb HD into 4 at 10gb. Now I want to move my applications folder to another partition and was told that just dragging it was a problem. How can I use your hint. Or am I the only lost one?

I'm a naive new user and couldn't find NetInfoManager on my computer.

I think you looking for Netinfo Manager. It can be found in HD -> Applications -> Utilities
Warning: Editing info willy-nilly in a Netinfo database can quickly lead to a computer that won't boot, and requires a reinstall. I would suggest that you make a backup of your netinfo database, and know how to restore it (from single user mode) before proceeding.
