Script doesn't work for me. Get this error;

System Events got an error: NSReceiverEvaluationScriptError: 4

and this line in the script gets highlighted;

click menu item "New Tab" of menu "File" of menu bar 1

Do you have Tabbed browsing enabled in Safari?

You need to have "Enable access for assistive devices" checked in the "Universal Access" pane in System Preferences.
