Saving iTunes4 videos on windows
Authored by: paxson on Jul 08, '04 03:01:07AM

Hi All,

I found a way to do it (it is not very nice though, but it works on windows !!!):

*you wait until the movie is loaded in itunes4 complete
*DONT CLOSE the program
*the video can be found in:
c:\document and settings\your_username\local settings\temp\IDHxx.tmp...(xx - can change)
*remove the power cord - thats right !!! it is a "hard" turn off
- if you try to shut down the computer, or "kill" the itunes or explorer process. then the IDHxx.tmp file will be deleted as well !!!
*if you restart your computer again, you will find the file in the specified directory
*now you can copy/rename it to - and play it in quicktime/vlc/....

I know it's an ugly trick, but I can't remove the filehandle from itunes in the IDHxx.tmp file, without the IDHxx.tmp file being deleted instantly/at the same time...
