Set screen brightness in FireWire target disk mode

The fact that the Firewire logo glides around and doesn't stay in any one spot for too long... that *is* the screensaver, no?

Set screen brightness in FireWire target disk mode

No, LCD Screens don't suffer from Burn-in like desktop CRTs, the best way to save any screen is to have it off completely, not even just dimming the screen. I know my 18 month old PB suffered greatly from having the screen on all night, even though the backlight was off, because I dont think the LCD turned off.

Though the rest of the screen is black while the Firewire icon is moving around, the backlight is still on, generating heat and draining battery power--the display has just flipped most of the pixels to black, which doesn't reduce backlight brightness--that's why you can see the Firewire icon.
