Copy text from protected PDFs to other apps
Authored by: jcull on Jun 25, '04 09:56:36AM

This doesn't work for images, though... any suggestions for printing a protected .pdf with the images intact? Specifically, I'm trying to print a piece of sheet music to show a choir director in order to get him to order a hundred copies or so... which is the whole reason they put it online in the first place, but then copy and print protected it!!! Argh.

Thanks!

Set the page view to fit in window, and copy each page individually.

Well, the easiest thing would of course be to e-mail the PDF to the choir director, right?

However, if you really want to print the PDF, one work-around could be to take screen shots of the pages you wish to print and then print the screen shots. Quality will not be superb and you cannot edit the text with this method, but it would print.

Just in case you didn't know... to take a screen shot of just one window: Press command-shift-4, then hit space bar and then click on the window you wish to capture.
