Create a quick Stickies calendar

...or in the fine tradition of "There's more than one way to do it", instead of the copy-and-paste step in the original tip, use 'Make New Sticky Note' (Shift-Cmd-Y) from Terminal's 'Services' menu -- it at least saves one from manually having to launch Stickies beforehand. (Of course, anyone who uses them a lot probably has the app already running...)

NOTE:If the Classic version of Stickies launches the first time you try this, abort/shutdown Classic and manually launch the OSX-native Stickies instead. On subsequent usage the 'Make New Sticky Note' service should find the correct app.

Heard this as a slightly related hint on YML last week from Schoun Reagan.
