Open app and close Finder window via the keyboard
If your main use of this hint is the cmd-shift-a, type some characters, then cmd-opt-o, then consider using a tool like Launchbar. hit cmd-space, type some characters to select an app, then enter.

And don't forget the briliant freeware app called Butler! I've been using it for a few months now and I has completely changes my work flow, for the better. Try it out :)

Butler can't hold a candle to Quicksilver, especially not with the new plugin architechture introduced in ß25 (not yet available for public consumption)! ;)

According to my not-very-scientific study LB is much faster than B. I read rave reviews of B but was disappointed in practice. |
