I want to use the British English keyboard layout, but I don't want the Union Jack in the menubar, mostly because it's the only coloured menubar item and it stands out too much.

I also use the Kotoeri layout for typing in Japanese, but I don't use its Romaji option, as the diactritcal marks etc. are not the same. I switch between Kotoeri for Japanese and British English for English.

Can anyone tell me how I can simply give the British English layout the white-on-black 'A' icon from the Kotoeri Romaji layout? Maybe a few files I can modify?

Thanks.
