10.3: A fix for an Address Book / Exchange sync problem
Authored by: conrad on May 22, '04 02:53:06AM

The linked article mentions using iSync w Exchange in a multi-domain environment, which the author claimed would not allow iSync to work. The limitation was that OWA requires login in that case to be formatted domain\username. I found that, if I entered that in the Address Book preferences, iSync would crash. However, the cause was Address book being too clever for its own good.
In the Exchange Server preference sheet in Address Book, when you enter your username, **it automatically appends that username at the end of the Outlook Web Access Server URI** That URI usually should not include the "domain\" part. I missed that repeatedly b/c the textbox is too short to show the entire URI. If you edit the URI by hand and remove the "domain\" part, iSync works again.
