Dock-based Cricket score for England/New Zealand
Authored by: leenoble_uk on May 21, '04 10:29:25AM

I spent some time procrastinating yesterday and started using PHP to strip the pertinent info out of that page. I was hoping I could get a big enough display to actually see more of the scorecard in the dock window.
Unfortunately, although the dock nicely updates the page title it doesn't actually display the reloaded html page.
Anyway, there's still a ways to go and I haven't got the time to be spending on it at the moment but what I want to do is hold the scores in session variables and then revolve the figures into place when the score changes.
Maybe by the end of the season I'll have something ready.
Here's what I have so far:

I can put the source up if anybody's interested.

So, I said ... well, I can't actually remember exactly what I said. But it was one of the most enormously cruel and frighteningly witty put downs ever.

Brilliant, Lee.

And simple enough for me to understand, too (unlike many of the fascinating hints on this praiseworthy site!).

And I echo your call for a little menu extra updater! Anyone?

But I love your scoreboard! Just one suggestion: if you could make a red bus go past the scoreboard every 20 mins or so, then that would be a fitting tribute to the Test Match Special commentary team.

Thanks

Huw
