There is an installer in the zip file that puts the files in the right place in Windows. To set the keyboard layout to the new one: I've checked it out and it seems to work fine, apart from the fact that I can't seem to type characters that you usually get with 'alt' such as the hash symbol or euro symbol. I think the problem with opt-characters is with VPC in general. I tried it before applying this new keyboard layout and still couldn't get them. I'm not sure which Windows variant the above instructions are for, but with my copy of Windows 2000 the sequence was slightly different, as follows:
Note that applications will not notice the layout change until they are re-launched. The main benefit for me is the transposition of the quote and at-symbol keys, the most annoying difference between Mac and Windows keyboard layouts! A great hint. Jeff
