The new site, while being published in the German language, is actually Swiss, not German. It's a German-language site, but not a German site.

I wondered why Rob said German (.de) when the link was Swiss (.ch).

Maybe because with "German" the language of the website is meant and not the country...?

It's proper to call it a German site when you are referring to the language, much like you might call this the English site, not meaning it's British. He does refer to this site as the "US" site, though, which might lead one to think he means German nationality, not German language. The top-level domain of .ch gives it away, but I think we can all find common ground here. |
