Convert music videos to iTunes tracks

It's not just about getting a free version of songs. Take the case of Melissa Auf der Maur. Her album isn't due in the U.S. for a while yet she has made three videos available from her website. Ripping the audio from the videos is the only way a fan like me can hear her songs. Once her CD comes out I will replace the songs I ripped with the high-quality versions but until then, the video versions are all I have.

Why not just save the downloaded QuickTime file and extract the audio track from it instead of recompressing? You'll get the exact AAC track that was given to you. Just go to /private/tmp/[userIDNumber]/TemporaryItems, and the file will be there.

Also note that the audio tracks in the music videos are 32 kHz AAC, not 44.1 kHz.
