Select multiple playlists
Authored by: ogukuo on May 01, '04 03:58:34AM

I think a much better approach would be to allow for selection of multiple playlists (the same way you select multiple songs). The effect of selecting multiple playlists would be to display the intersection of the playlists (ANDing them), I guess you might want to allow for the union of the lists (ORing) by adding a match any/all playlists option in the preferences.

The payoff is that you would only need a few lists which you could combine how you wanted e.g. 80s music, 90s music, Rock & Pop, and My Top Rated would allow for 80s Rock & Pop, 90s Top Rated, Top Rated Rock & Pop etc.

The big bonus for me personally would be an "Available Locally" playlist. This way when my iBook is away from the network, where my music is stored, I would combine this list with whichever other list I wanted, and only get tracks which were on my iBook.
