Easily copy the currently open folder in the Finder
Authored by: Makosuke on Apr 28, '04 07:34:49PM

The proxy icon in the title bar is good for all kinds of things, most of which aren't well documented. This hint is the one I use the most, but grabbing the proxy icon of an open folder to move it somewhere else is a great way to sort and be sure you're actually moving the folder you want to move.

You can also drag things *into* the proxy icon to copy/move things into that folder, although there's no visual feedback at all until the file appears in the open window (no highlight as you hold the file over the icon).
