Another way to combine PDFs
For those looking to combine multiple PDF files into one, you might want to also check out 'Combine PDFs' by MonkeyBread Software. It allows you to reorder pages and only include certain pages from a multiple-page PDF. Although it doesn't come with OS X, it's free! I've found it to be very useful.

After reading postings about using *NIX tools to make multi-page PDFs, I switched to using Combine PDFs. It is a fantastic application - simple, stable, and relatively fast.

Agreed, I use this in conjunction with BookLightning (not free, but cheap) to produce my imposed tabloid newsletters with PDF output from Quark. It all works great.
