How to burn a 'flat' MP3 CD with iTunes

As long you sort the playlist by playlist entry number (as opposed to album track number) then iTunes should burn all your MP3s on the root folder. If you sort by Albums then you get folders named after that album. If you sort by Artist, you get folders named after that artist.

Hope that makes sense.

How to burn a 'flat' MP3 CD with iTunes

If you sort the way you suggest, you don't get any sort order at all. That was what bugged me from my first CD's, no album or artist order. It was when I tried to correct this, that iTunes started burning songs in folders, rendering my CD worthless for my car MP3 player. Only the drag and drop of a sorted playlist in a new, unsorted one retains this sort order while burning all the songs at rootlevel

Always nice to hear a few songs from the same artist in a row ;-)
