Apple releases speed- and CPU-bumped G5s
Sheez. I publish 2,000 hints a year, and on one day, I choose to run one hint (out of seven that ran today) that's off-topic and humorous. For that, you leave? Macslash has nearly 100% false stories, Slashdot has a whole page of them, as do many other sites around the web. Ah well, can't please everyone all the time.
Why did I do it? Because I work very hard on the site and site support 364 days a year. As such, if I choose to do something a little off-kilter once and a while, I have no qualms at all about doing so. Similarly, if it irks you that much, then you're free to leave, as you've chosen to do. Life's too short to try to please everyone 100% of the time, so I'll just do my best to continue to provide the best OS X resource on the web, even if one day a year there might be one article that's a bit dubious in nature. Seems a shame you're giving up on 1,999 good hints for one prank hint, but as noted, that's clearly a choice you can make. Goodbye, and sorry to see you go, but I won't be changing my ways because of it. -rob.

Well spoken, Rob! Incredible how you always manage to answer nonsense complaints like this with enormous dignity and politeness. Thanks!

You know, I just looked at last years April Fools' Post and guess what? sebastianb posted almost the exact same comment then, too. |
