Easily add DiskWarrior to TechTool Pro 4.0.2

Once you boot into the eDrive you can install pretty much anything you can install on your other partition. For example, Norton Utilities, anti-virus software, Disk Utility, web browsers, etc. I just tried it and it worked. Didn't realize it was a big deal.

How did you add Norton Utilities to eDrive?

Congratulations! Adding Norton Utilities is a breakthrough. I've seen other reports in the forums re: NU, but only of failures to install. How did you add Norton Utilities, please? Did you install from the CD or drag over all the files? If installing from the CD, were you able to use NUM's LiveUpdate? If dragging, do you have a list of files? Which version of NUM? Thanks. Norm.

Don't

install

Norton.

Have you not seen, heard, and/or read enough about this? They were useful in 9 and below, but not at all *safe* to be used with any Mac running Mac OS X.

Stick to Techtool/Diskwarrior/Data Rescue X, the new 'holy trilogy' of Mac troubleshooting and recovery.

Heck, I haven't trusted it since the pre-HFS+ days. I think Norton 3.5.2 was the last version I would entrust my data to.
