Control iTunes from any application via the keyboard...
Um, if this is a way to control iTunes from the keyboard, I don't see how. Perhaps I missed noticing a feature of X-keys. All it seems to do is pop up a set of on-screen controls, which you must use the mouse upon. Moreover, you have to hold down the X-keys hotkey combo the entire time you're doing this, so it becomes a 2-handed operation, with one hand on the mouse. That's not quite keyboard control.

I downloaded X-Tunes and "sk4it". With X-Tunes, the idea seems to be to hold down a key combo such as command-space with one hand, and with the other hand, press the arrow keys for next/prev track and volume up/down, or press return for pause/play. Not great, but maybe usable for some people. |
