Use a PC GeForce card in your Mac: OS X 10.3?
Authored by: RolandMuts on Mar 19, '04 03:55:04AM

OK, got the old ATI card back, replaced the flashed GeForce card with it, booted the system, and installed OS 10.3 from the install CD.

After the installation was finished, and the computer was rebooted, I still had weird graphics errors (safari screen not repainting properly after scrolling up/down, same with 'standard' OS X list windows).

Checked with the System Profiler, and the information about the graphics card still said the GeForce card was inside the computer?!

Switched off the G4, booted up again while holding that recessed button on the front of the computer casing, the computer started beeping, typed in the 'mac-boot' command, the system restarted, and the graphics errors were gone...

But the System Profiling information still said that there was a GeForce card installed!

Then rebooted again, installed the latest 10.3 update (10.3.3), and now the system seems to run without any problems... Still the System Profiler tells me that there's a GeForce card installed...

Cheers,

Roland
