General availability of Dev Tools
Authored by: robg on Dec 08, '01 09:53:27AM
My free online-only ADC account received an email this morning noting the following:
Apple has released the December 2001 Mac OS X Developer Tools, a complete suite of tools that enable developers to create applications, frameworks, libraries, plug-in bundles, kernel extensions, and device drivers for Mac OS X. This release includes Project Builder, Apple's integrated development environment for Mac OS X and Interface Builder, Apple's graphical user interface editor. The flagship feature of this release is the new script application development plug-in for Project Builder, AppleScript Studio. The December 2001 Mac OS X Developer Tools will be available as a free download or for purchase on CD-ROM from the ADC Member Site during the week of December 10. All ADC Online members will be notified via email when the Tools become available.
The entire email is available online here: http://developer.apple.com/devnews/ The connect.apple.com site is currently down, so I can't verify if the Dev Tools are actually there for download now, but they should be online sometime next week at the latest.
