Enable pause-resume bookmarks on AAC-encoded files
Authored by: thunter913 on Mar 11, '04 08:34:03PM

I posted this question on MacFixIt and didn't get a response. I performed the above hint but it didn't completely solve my problem.

Lets say I have a playlist with 30 songs on it. I start playing on song 1. At some point I sync the iPod (say it is in the middle of song 17). After detaching the iPod there doesn't appear to be a "go back to current bookmark" feature. If I manually go to song 17 it will resume playing at the mid way point because the bookmark has been saved.

Is there any way of making the iPod go back to the current bookmark so that I don't have try and remember the last song I was playing?

My books are broken up into multiple files as well. I always just create a smart playlist that looks something list like this:

Match [all]
[artist] [contains] "enter artist/author name"
[album] [contains] "enter album/book name"
[play count] [is less than] 1

Whenever you finish listening to a track it will be automatically removed from the playlist. I use this all the time from my iPod and Desktop.
