Have I missed something here? Why not just use the arrow keys? No mousing needed.

The difference is that you can control the scroll speed (unlike the arrow keys). However, I prefer either uControl which provieds a superb scroll wheel emulation on the trackpad or sidetrack. Both free utilities whith great functionality.

Or why not just hit spacebar = page down or Shift Spacebar = page Up. Because it only does a page at a time there is not need for speed control etc.

Or, (Apple likes to have options for us, don't they?)

Use the arrow keys to scroll up & down:
arrow only = line-by-line,
opt-arrow = page down OR up,
command-arrow = straight to the top or bottom.

OR use speakable commands.

OR..... (I'm sure there's more ways, too.. lol)
