Google selected text in Safari via the keyboard

Doesn't work for me either. The item in the Services menu works fine, but there's no keyboard shortcut listed next to it. I even tried creating a command shift L shortcut in Keyboard preferences, but it still didn't work. I guess I'll keep using the contextual menu item. I'm using the latest Panther and Safari. I upgraded to Panther instead of doing a fresh install...wonder if that's the problem.

By the way, anyone besides me feel like the items in the services menu are hard to mouse to? It would be so great if we had the option to put whatever relevant ones we wanted in the application toolbar. Like a button in the safari toolbar to email the current selection. Or failing that, put more of them in a contextual menu at least.

Mousing to the Services entry sucketh. Two solutions: (I don't script) Services, by Blacktree, com, allows toggling a service on and off, and - this is cool - assigning keyboard shortcuts.

In addition, ICeCoffEE, an APE from web.sabi.net/nriley/sofware, offers both an optional both a menubar Services menu, and - my personal fave - a Services contextual menu submenu. Couple that with Ittec and the X desktop almost works!
