Schneb, there may be more to this than fabio has explained--I'm not sure. I can tell you that I tried it, and I also see only a white background, even though I have transparency. I even tried specifically creating an alpha channel [I also tried inverting the alpha channel's colours].

Good thing I still have the ExportIcon Photoshop plugin.

It could be that you are not hiding the background layer in Photoshop before saving the document as .png ( or whatever ). As for .icns ... icns documentation
