Back up non-Apple GarageBand loops

Not all loops will be stored in .../SingleFiles. You can drag a folder of loops into GarageBand and they will be imported into a folder within /Library/Application Support/GarageBand/Apple Loops.

I've noticed some collections of free and for-sale loops. For example, this interesting group:

My backup regime includes backing up /Library. If disaster strikes, I can go through the backup and restore what I need.

Back up GarageBand loops

Indeed, the "SingleFiles" in my library is empty. I do, however have the following in my "/Library/Application Support/GarageBand/Apple Loops" directory:
  • Access Virus Loops
  • Apple Loops for GarageBand
  • Apple Loops for GarageBand Jam Pack
  • Free Apple Loops
  • SingleFiles
So you might be better off backing up either all the folders except "Apple Loops for GarageBand" and "Apple Loops for GarageBand Jam Pack", or just back them all up.
