A quick fix for Belkin mouse button failures
Authored by: MisterCaseyCA on Feb 20, '04 11:15:15AM

Actually, I have wireless Logitech devices (more specifically the Cordless Access Duo Optical package) and they have similar problems from time to time. Not only can I move the mouse without it responding to clicks, but the shortcut and function keys across the top of the keyboard cease to function as well. I've discovered that if I kill the LCDaemon process, I get regain control over my mouse clicks since the built-in default Mac OS X drivers kick back in, but obviously I don't have all the custom Logitech functionality anymore since I killed the process that handles all of it. At the very least, by getting the ability to click back I can restart my machine without having to power cycle it.
