Hibernation?
Authored by: Mikey-San on Feb 20, '04 01:18:49AM

Why not sleep the unit and come back on Monday morning to a machine that's not only right where you left off, but just as zippy as it was when you left work previously.

We're not talking about XP here, where you need to reboot regularly to keep it happy.

Hibernation?

I put both my G4 at home and the Dell at work to sleep during the week but I personally don't like leaving a system at work powered with no one there during the weekend - especially a Windows system. Hibernation is pretty much like "sleep mode" except that Hibernation will turn the power off until the next time the system is booted bringing everything back to the state it was at prior to hibernation or as if it had been woken from sleep.
