This response is getting predictable, I know.

This is yet another thing that LaunchBar does very well. You can open individual pref panes very quickly, even without System Preferences already launched, and even without 10.3.

I use the old version of Youpi Key, the free version (which still works in Panther), to do the same thing as LaunchBar.

alternately if use a prefpane a lot and don't want anything fancy installed you can do a search for .prefpane and put the ones you use alot in the dock. that would be the side where the folders and files go, not the side with the apps.

Full Keyboard Access in general is such a nice add-on (I have chosen my prepanes like that for several months now :-)
