Import MIDI files into GarageBand

I haven't used this yet, but it sounds good, especially if it allows you to use sound fonts.

Even better in my particular case was to use MidiPipe and Mighty MIDI to pipe the MIDI directly into GB while recording. This way the notes are easily editable in GB. Very handy if you want to change tempo, instruments, note velocities, etc.

This is a piece of cake to set up, and works like a charm, at least for one instrument/track at a time. The instructions are at http://gbxchange.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=769#769

I think you'll find this even easier to use than the MIDIpipe/Mighty MIDI solution. It gives you editable notes just like that method but it takes a fraction of the time and does not require any "by hand" alignment of the tracks after you import them...try it, I think you'll like it!
