Check out this article by Tony Piselli for a script that will launch GanttProject with all the necessary libraries from the .zip download. From the article:
The script provides the following benefits to the user:
  • names the application GanttProject in the application menu instead of net.sourceforge.ganttproject,
  • uses the projects gif file for its logo in the dock,
  • puts the applications menus where Mac users expect them: up top with the system menus instead of in the frame.
Check it out! It works great. Depending on which version you download and where you put your files, the script may require slight modifications.
